Why Be a DEN Star Educator?
Becoming a DEN Star Educator is a way to increase your network of resources and connections with other educators who share an interest in the integration of technology with education. To become a DEN Star Educator, you complete a brief online application and begin by hosting an event sharing ideas and practices with colleagues about how to best use Discovery Education in the classroom.
The benefits are numerous. The DEN offers a variety of online and onsite professional development opportunities. By becoming a DEN Star Educator, you expand your toolbox of resources and access to the DEN community. Some workshops focus on Discovery Education, while others explore other useful technology resources that you can implement immediately with your students.
The professional development offered by Discovery Education is phenomenal. The team of professionals who host events are experts in technology integration, and they make content accessible for any teacher who is passionate about using technology in the classroom.
One most enjoyable aspect of becoming more active in the DEN community is the connection with other educators. I've met many teachers at workshops, online, and at the DENSI with whom I consistently share ideas and resources that benefit student learning.
