I was born in Guilford, Connecticut, and I grew up in New York City, where I did some childhood acting. I moved back to Connecticut during my High School years, and I attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. I earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford. I have taught in Newington for 12 years. I began as a fourth grade teacher, moved up to fifth for a few years, and now teach elementary technology. The most rewarding aspect of my current position is working with students and colleagues on integrating technology with our learning.
