Flipping the Classroom - Presented by Jannita Demian
This was a hands-on workshop where we explored the rationale and
logistics for doing paper slide presentations for/with our students. The
creation of a paper slide video can help build background knowledge for students on skills and concepts to help facilitate learning in the classroom. We are able to work with a group to actually create a paper slide presentation and it was extremely enlightening. I see this as something the students can create to teach each other as in a jigsaw, or as means to share between grade levels.
a. The planning your paperslide presentation.
b. The creation or artwork of the slides.
c. The rehearsal of the presentation.
d. The recording of the paper slide video.
One aspect that appeals to me about this type of project is that
it requires no editing. It’s a one-take video. You can retake as much as you need to get a polished final product, but it is one relatively brief video clip that can be shared.
